The Role
Factorytalk is looking for a Software Quality Engineer to help ensure that our digital manufacturing solutions are reliable, user-friendly and ready for use in real production environments.
You will test manufacturing applications built using Tulip, a leading no-code platform, for pharmaceutical and life sciences customers. You will work closely with Technical Lead, Solution engineers, project teams and business users to understand requirements, identify risks, find defects and confirm that solutions work as intended.
Previous Tulip, pharmaceutical or validation experience is an advantage but is not essential. We will provide training in the Tulip platform, digital manufacturing and regulated-industry practices.
Key responsibilities
- Review requirements and create clear, risk-based test cases
- Perform functional, workflow, integration and regression testing across different users and devices
- Test APIs, data flows and connections with external systems or equipment
- Identify, document and track defects through resolution
- Work with solution engineers to investigate issues and verify fixes
- Support UAT, validation documentation and production-readiness testing
- Maintain test evidence and help continuously improve QA practices
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, engineering or a related field
- 1–5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance or a related role
- Practical experience with manual testing, test-case design and defect tracking
- Good understanding of software-testing principles and development lifecycles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Good written and spoken English with the ability to work in an international team
Experience in the following would be an advantage, but is not essential:
- Tulip or another no-code/low-code platform
- Pharmaceutical, life sciences or other regulated industries
- GxP, GMP or Computer System Validation
- MES, LIMS, QMS, ERP or other manufacturing systems
- Jira, SQL, API testing or test automation
